Call for NGO Partner

The Active Vista Film Festival seeks partnerships with Development Organizations to present advocacy films that inspire positive change. The role of Non-Government Organizations as partners of this film festival is to put context to the issues surrounding the common man and share the collective experiences of the Filipino people to reaffirm the core values of human rights that are instrumental in shaping our nation.

Guidelines For Partnership

  1. Each film screening slot is offered to interested partner organizations for sponsorship. A sponsor organization may choose over the wide array of films being offered for the festival that best depict the interest or advocacy of the organization. The organization may also suggest films or show their organization’s own film or documentary provided that the film or documentary to be shown will be approved by the Festival Committee.
  2. Generally, films, shorts or documentaries must be in line with the festival theme.
  3. A screening slot is equivalent to two hours of screening time. Your organization has the option to maximize the two hours as long as only one feature film will be shown.
  4. The Festival Committee shall take charge of the necessary permits and legal requirements of the film showing and shall coordinate with the chosen venue for the screening of the film/s.
  5. The Festival Committee shall take charge in the acquisition of films needed by the sponsoring organization including securing the permission of the film maker for public viewing. In case the film maker of the chosen film demands special arrangements for the film showing, details of such demands will be discussed to the sponsoring NGO for final agreement with the film maker.
  6. The Festival Committee shall take charge of the publicity and marketing work of the entire Festival. This work includes release of promotional materials such as posters, flyers, putting up of website, media press releases, and campus and media tours.
  7. The Festival Committee shall assist sponsoring NGOs in the ticket selling, promotions and marketing of their chosen films. The Festival Committee shall also assist the sponsoring NGO in choosing the films best suited for their advocacy or interest.
  8. Festival tickets shall be provided by the Festival Committee unless a specialized ticketing arrangement is devised by the sponsoring NGO. NGOs may devise their own ticketing scheme (e.g. sponsorship tickets) as long as it will be properly coordinated with the Festival Committee. Printing of specialized tickets shall be taken care by the sponsoring organization
  9. NGOs shall also have the option to tie up with school based organizations in sponsoring the film screening. The Festival Committee shall help facilitate the link between the NGOs and school based organizations. For this kind of partnership, a special arrangement would be made among the school based organization, the NGO and the Festival Committee.
  10. Film screening slots for sponsorships are on a first come first served basis. Discounts and special arrangements for more than two screening slots may be given to a sponsoring NGO.
  11. Prices for the ticket shall depend on the amount agreed upon by the sponsoring NGO, Festival Committee and screening venue. All ticket sales shall go to your NGO. NGOs may also have the option to screen its film for free.
  12. Each sponsoring organization must pay the Festival Sponsor Fee per film screening. The Festival Sponsor Fee will cover the screening venue, MTRCB expenses for the film showing, acquisition of films, promotional materials and reproduction of tickets for the film showing. Festival Sponsor Fee may vary depending on the number of screenings, venue of the screening and the areas where screening will be held.
